The Secret Behind 3 Mariachis' Famous Nachos

Walk into any of our three GTA locations and you'll notice something: nearly every table has a plate of our Famous Nachos. There's a reason they've become legendary across Toronto, Vaughan, and Richmond Hill — and it starts with how we build them.

Why Most Nachos Disappoint

The problem with most restaurant nachos is simple: soggy chips, uneven toppings, and cheese that's more sauce than actual cheese. You get a few good bites from the top, then you're left digging through a sad pile of bare chips at the bottom.

How We Do It Differently

At 3 Mariachis, we layer our nachos strategically. Fresh tortilla chips are spread in layers, with our signature three-cheese blend, black beans, and salsa roja distributed throughout — not just dumped on top. Every bite delivers the full experience.

Step 1 — The Foundation

We start with house-made tortilla chips, fried fresh daily until they're sturdy enough to hold toppings without breaking, but light enough to stay crispy.

Step 2 — The Layering Technique

Instead of piling everything on top, we build in layers: chips, cheese, beans, chips, cheese, beans. This ensures flavor in every single bite, from first to last.

Step 3 — The Finishing Touches

Fresh pico de gallo, serrano peppers, and a final blanket of melted cheese crown the dish. We finish under the broiler until the cheese is perfectly bubbling.

The Small vs. Large Debate

Our small nachos ($20-21) are perfect for two people as an appetizer. The large ($27-29) can feed a table of four — or two very hungry friends who don't like to share. Pro tip: add chicken, steak, or carnitas to turn them into a full meal.

Find Your Perfect Plate

Whether you're at our Vaughan location, Richmond Hill, or Downtown Toronto on the Esplanade, the Famous Nachos are always made the same way — fresh, layered, and absolutely loaded.
